Set In Stone won at Carlisle in October and was third at the same track off her new mark last month. Gemologist was placed twice in better company in October, including once here, but she is now 0-23 over hurdles so is probably worth opposing again being closely matched with SARVI on the form book. Jim Goldie’s mare won this last year and can defy a 3lb higher mark for a repeat. Smart Lass has never won over hurdles but did score over 1m4f on the Flat here in August and Walkonby has more scope than most.
