In depth

Verdict

The two penalised winners, Nodda High Kid and Rendl Beach, will find it very difficult to cope with MAKARI here and Noel Wilson's recent acquisition can begin paying back some of the £100,000 outlay his owners forked out after he finished a close second to the fancied Benign Dictator at Haydock last month. Nodda High Kid started an incredible 80/1 when holding off Brindisi Breeze over the C&D but Rendl Beach attracted support on his debut here and his followers hardly had a monent's concern. Walser is very much a staying type so he did well to get so close at Catterick but Isabelle B let her many supporters down as she made her debut at Wetherby and will need to do much better.
