Traditional Dancer was successful when last running in this grade and is starting to look well treated again, though has ground to make up on Meadowcroft Boy on recent running over course and distance. Mr Kite won here in March last year but hasn’t raced since and is 6lb higher. JE SUIS CHARLIE (NAP), an 84-rated middle-distance handicapper on the Flat, failed to land the odds on his second start over hurdles here at the start of the month but the winner could be useful and the pair pulled clear. The soft ground is an unknown but John Quinn won this last year with a four-year-old and his gelding has every chance of making it third-time lucky if conditions don’t prove an inconvenience. Treshnish and Asum boast recent winning form but may be a few pounds too high now.
