In depth

Verdict

Baez has been a revelation in staying races since switching to Jim Goldie’s yard. He had Yorkindness behind when completing his hat-trick over 2m2f here last month and is actually better off at the weights with the Johnston runner penalised having won since at York. It's Good To Laugh has run well at Chester the last twice but prefers a softer surface. COLTOR has had excuses in a couple of runs since a close second at Beverley in June. He ran well over hurdles here at the start of the year and might be a bit of value in this. Haizoom runs this track well and is on a fair mark so shouldn’t be ignored.
