Veteran Solway Sam was soon left behind here on New Year's Day but he's gradually coming down the handicap. Allez Cool has been knocking on the door and should be thereabouts again but Full Jack has never really threatened since joining Pauline Robson, though has been quite highly tried. SNAPPING TURTLE was behind Solway Sam at Perth in the summer but has probably improved since and could reverse the form on today's easier ground. He's preferred to the frustrating Ryton Runner and recent course and distance second Bracing.
