In depth

Verdict

NORMAL NORMAN (NAP) won a nice pot over hurdles here on New Year's Day before ending the campaign in the Sky Bet Supreme Novices' Hurdle at Cheltenham. His two recent runs on the level have been over much shorter trips and this looks a chance to gain his first victory on the Flat. Tor is on a long losing run but has dropped in the weights accordingly and runs for a new yard while Arthurs Secret stays extreme distances which should stand him in god stead here. Bodacious Name struck form with a double over 2m2f at Pontefract at this time a year ago and has been racing in slightly better company so he could provide the main threat.
