tracked leader, led 8th, kept on strongly from last
led to 8th, tracked winner, ridden before last, kept on and always held, (disqualified by the clerk of the scales for failing to weigh-in at the correct weight)
Both runners ran over 2m here last time. The Road Home won a maiden by 10 lengths and is far less exposed than his much older rival but SILVER CONCORDE was a course and distance winner in November and had some cracking form in Ireland before that. Keith Dalgleish’s 10-year-old can give the weight away.
Silver Concorde 2-1fav (11-8) Mid-division, led before 3 out, kept on and headed towards finish, 2nd of 7, 1 1/4l behind Sir Chauvelin (11-0) at Musselburgh 2m hcp (2) gs in Jan.
The Road Home (IRE) 8-1 (11-5) Made most, joined after 3rd, driven when hard pressed after 3 out, drew clear from last, stayed on well, won at Musselburgh 2m mdn (5) gs in Jan beating Character Onesie (11-5) by 10l, 11 ran.
