        Verdict

        Tajaathub, Dispol Katie and Red Romeo are the three against the field in this open affair, and preference is for Tajaathub to defy top weight. David Barron's Dispol Katie showed her well being when chasing home Tagula Sunrise at Ripon, but that was on a softer surface and she is not as effective on fast ground. She also appears thoroughly exposed so it may be best waiting for conditions to fall in her favour. Red Romeo won over this course and distance in September, on similar ground, and is not badly treated on that form on only a five pound higher mark, but he has a four month absence to overcome. Mark Johnston's Tajaathub ran well first time out this season but has since been dropped a couple of pounds by the handicapper and this daughter of Aljabr may be seen to better effect on this faster ground. With that run under her belt, Tajaathub can defy top weight.
