Verdict

Richard Hobson has had a couple of recent winners and sends DEFI SACRE up from Gloucester with James Best booked for the one ride. The six-year-old overcame mistakes to chase home Paddy's Poem at Fakenham and should be good enough for this. Sporting Press completed a double in the spring though hasn't been in the same kind of form and was beaten 10 lengths into second here last time. Middlebrow does better on quicker ground than he'll face here while Chain Of Beacons ran poorly at Catterick last time.
