Lucky Violet and Zeshov have both won three times around here though neither arrive in the best of form. Ascot Week won over a mile at last year's meeting and is only 3lb higher than when scoring in this grade at Ripon last month but Kwanza has been raised 7lb for landing a Pontefract maiden handicap. Allux Boy won easily at Wolverhampton before finding Beverley's stiff uphill climb against him and though Ishebayorgrey won nine times in Ireland he's proving difficult to win with here despite his consistency. It's a long time since BALLYMOUNT (NAP) won when trained in France but he's run well in two amateurs' events since returning from a long break and could be up to this.
Zeshov (IRE) 25-1 (9-9) Tracked leaders, outpaced over 2f out, soon ridden, weakened final furlong, last of 11, 14l behind Stringybark Creek (10-0) at Beverley 1m hcp (5) gd in Jun.

Ascot Week (USA) 8-1 (11-8) Held up, headway 3f out, ridden and every chance over 1f out, kept on one pace, 3rd of 14, 4 3/4l behind Insurplus (10-6) at Redcar 1m hcp (5) gd in Jul.
