Trance represents fair odds and gets a tentative vote of confidence over Global Strategy and Grey Outlook. There may also be a bit more to come from the lightly-raced Brigadore and he is one to keep an eye on in the betting. Grey Outlook gets this trip well and, having finished last season in good form, he is respected. Linda Perratt also has him down to run tomorrow and it would be interesting to note how he fares this afternoon. Global Strategy has been in flying form on the All Weather and has won his last three starts in good style. A one-time inmate at Dermot Weld's yard in Ireland, the son of Rainbow Quest is bred to get a trip and starts his British turf career on a very fair handicap mark. However, he has not really beaten much of late and this is a much tougher assignment; so he makes limited appeal at cramped odds. Therefore, the double-figure price likely to be available about Trance looks a tempting proposition. It is worth bearing in mind that he was not beaten far behind Detroit City in the Cesarewitch last October and, having also gone well over course and distance on similar going, David Barron's charge is a solid each proposition in a tough one to fathom.
