      Verdict

      Tapis Libre has won twice here this year but has never tacked a trip this far and also has a penalty to carry - he may not represent much in the way of value. It remains to be seen if Bowdler's Magic turns up as he was scheduled to run at Newcastle last night but La Bacouetteuse is likely to be popular with punters. Serena Brotherton steered him to victory in this 12 months ago when the 10-year-old was 8lb higher in the weights. ALEKSANDAR gets the nod, however, given he was gaining on winner Royal Signaller over a slightly shorter trip at Doncaster last time and is only 2lb higher. Simon Walker rides Pixie Cut but she finished behind the selection here in June.
