The Henderson-Geraghty combination can complete a good day on their travels with OWEN GLENDOWER, who is taken to defy a penalty and land the bumper at the main expense of Robbie and newcomer Malin Bay. The last-named cost £34,000 as a juvenile and is related to several National Hunt winners. His trainer Nicky Richards does well in this sphere and he is certainly one to check out in the market, as he could go very well first-time. Robbie has already had the benefit of a run when just held here in November. The front two were 12 lengths clear that day, although the winner was comfortably beaten when trying to defy a penalty and it is hard to assess the merit of that performance. Even so there is probably improvement to come and he is respected. Allow Me has probably got frame claims, but unless there is a significant improvement for this sound surface it is hard to see him winning. Tale Of Tanganyika is related to Listed and Group winners on the Flat in Germany and France and from a very shrewd yard who can ready them to win first time, but while he is respected preference remains for Owen Glendower. The Anshan gelding dotted up at Taunton in December, after having been turned over at odds-on first time. He goes on a sound surface, and if able to continue his improvement today he looks the one they all have to beat.
