Verdict

Soft ground may have been to blame for Alta Rock's woeful effort at Wetherby, though he has been creeping up the weights again lately. Court Of Law won at Warwick in September and should go close with a clear round, however, while winning pointer Derryfadda still has time on his side. Benefit In Kind makes more appeal than Shady Sadie and veteran Solway Bay but SIMARTHUR made a satisfactory reappearance over hurdles at Carlisle and still has the scope to make a chaser after just the three runs.
