Verdict

Russian Sky can make amends at the expense of Corbie Lynn, with Sports Express best of the rest. Russian Sky is on a retrieval mission after falling when fancied here at the end of last month. He was under pressure but staying on at the time, and although yet to open his account over the bigger obstacles, he remains better treated than over timber and has enough placed efforts to be the main contender here. Corbie Lynn ran a blinder for a 50-1 shot at Hexham, finishing just in front of the odds-on favourite The Reverend. In fact there were three runners separated by less than half-a-length at the line, but whether he can repeat that effort here remains to be seen. Sports Express hails from a stable in form at present, so cannot be left entirely out of calculations, but overall, Russian Sky is the percentage call.
