Fire Fighter was expected to arrive with a win under his belt and possibly start to run up a typical sequence in line with many a Sir Mark Prescott handicapper who has benefited from a dramatic step up in trip from two to three. However, he failed to read the script when a very one-paced second at Hamilton on Thursday and it will be interesting to see if he has benefited from that outing. Therefore JEU DE VIVRE looks a safer option having shown up well enough in most of her runs and probably being unlucky not to get closer last time when second over ten furlongs at Pontefract. The extra quarter mile should suit. A Southside Boy has something to find to trouble the aforementioned pair.
