LANDMARQUE, backed into favouritism here just over a fortnight ago, could do no better than come home in fourth spot. However, he travelled notably well for much of the contest and was ultimately let down by a round of fencing lacking fluency. He has the ability to concede weight all round here and is taken to do so in the hope that the application of blinkers will aid concentration and sharpen technique. Sandy Thomson continues to carve out an impressive profile with his select string and his consistent Chain Of Beacons looks a major threat on the back of a close second here last month. Formerly with Iain Jardine, he remains open to progression over fences. Doubledisdoubledat hasn't been running too badly this term and could prove interesting off an attractive mark.
