In depth

Verdict

Life Knowledge is fit from the Flat and won on the all-weather in October. Despite racing from out of the handicap, Rioja Day landed a big gamble here last month. That was such a big leap forward that a follow-up can’t be ruled out. Spin The Coin has hinted at ability and has had a wind operation but Thepensionfund has gone backwards since a fair fourth at Worcester. SMART RULER resented cheekpieces at Sedgefield in October having been in decent form earlier. The 12-year-old is 2-3 around here and could easily bounce back and he’s well treated nowadays.
