An interesting contest with a number of lightly raced and potentially useful performers in opposition but Fundamental sets a fair yardstick and is the choice to prevail. Tom Tate's charge showed the benefit of his initial effort when second in a similar heat at Ayr last month. The son of Rudimentary appears to have taken well to hurdling and looks capable of scoring at this level. Autumn Fantasy was a useful winning stayer on the level and can only improve for his hurdling bow when sixth behind a highly regarded sort at Doncaster late last month. However, he did not impress with his jumping technique and could be worth opposing at prohibitive odds. Stablemate Transit was of similar ability on the Flat but has never raced beyond a mile-and-a-quarter and needs to prove his stamina while ex-Irish performer Kingkohler showed ability on the Flat and shouldn't be noted in the exchanges on his hurdling debut. Chivite proved disappointing on his first start over timber but was a useful sort on the level for Amanda Perrett and should be capable of better.
