In depth

Verdict

Sandagiyr started favourite for a slightly lower grade handicap last week but couldn't quite get to Unbridled Ocean. He should now be at his peak after three runs and should go close. Rostrum, who stayed on strongly into third, is better over further. Mufarrh was in cracking form at this time a year ago and his last two runs have been at Group 2 level so he should find this a bit easier but Mike De Kock's Disa Leader hasn't done as well as expected. The South African also runs AMANEE and she'll take some beating. A Grade 1 winner in her native land, she chased home the classy Sajjhaa in the Cape Verdi five weeks ago and, as the winner has since won the Group 2 Balanchine, she has to be the selection. Producer won a Group 3 at Goodwood in August and made a sparkling debut here when just touched off by Royal Ridge. That will have put him spot-on and he looks a major threat. Masteroftherolls hardly saw daylight and returned with a lost shoe when a beaten favourite two weeks ago and is much better than that as he showed on his previous start.
