    In depth

    Verdict

KHUZAAM, four-times a winner for Roger Varian including the Lingfield all-weather mile championship, disputed the lead throughout over 6f at Jebel Ali but tired close home. He may be flattered by his 116 official rating though is suited by the race conditions. Quip, a dual Grade 2 winner in the USA, raced in top company here last winter and though having plenty to find will have come on markedly for his run here three weeks ago where he led for a long way. Bochart dropped down to this sort of level when scoring here in April but stable companion Kimbear looks more of a threat as he has a fine record around here and goes well fresh. Another from the yard, Imperial Empire, showed major improvement here last month and is the choice of Tadhg O'Shea.
