Earnshaw, runner-up in a strong renewal a year ago, can't get his head in front and once again found 1m2f too short when a long way behind impressive winner Leshlaa a fortnight ago. The runner-up has won subsequently so it's onwards and upwards for the Godolphin colt though that will be reflected in his SP here. He had earlier been beaten by Light The Lights when in receipt of 5lb and, though that was only a prep run, the winner has to be respected and was racing over a trip too short last time. Mike De Kock is also represented by Al Sahem, a Group 1 winner in South Africa who badly needed his opening run here and will have come on a bundle but FOLKSWOOD is the pick on his return to action. Runner-up in the Group 1 Jebel Hatta here, he raced in Group 3 company in Europe before landing a Listed handicap at Cranbourne in Australia then performed with real credit at Group 1 level there. He'll have bigger targets but can get back to winning ways.
