        Verdict

        CACHAO caught the eye with a strong finish over 7f last month so it was no great surprise when he scored over today's trip two weeks ago where he came late and got up close home. He's only been raised 3lb so looks to have every chance of completing a double. Stable companion Welford went up 9lb for an easy track and trip victory before finding 1m2f just beyond him though he didn't get the run of the race. Taamol would have to be considered on his impressive victory over 7f last month but never got into the action next time and needs to prove he stays the trip. Portamento took a long time to acclimatise after arriving from the UK but ended the last campaign in winning form on Turf and ran very well in a Listed contest at Abu Dhabi earlier this month. Claim The Roses won a similar handicap here in January, when he had Galvanize a long way behind, and will have needed last month's reappearance.
