MEDICEAN MAN won this a year ago and followed up a week later then ran a superb race in the Al Quoz Sprint. He showed himself as good as ever on his reappearance here behind Ahtoug and is taken to reverse the places with runner-up Lancelot Du Lac, close third Sir Maximilian and the fourth Fityaan, though all three are obviously threats. Jamesie was behind in that latter event and is held by Sir Maximilian on their form at Tipperary in August but the lightly-raced Banaadeer, who started favourite, will be better for the run as he led for a long way before blowing up. Fityaan was narrowly beaten by Hototo early last month and the winner, who was 2l behind the selection in this last year, should also get involved in what looks a highly competitive sprint.
