        Verdict

        DARK EMERALD won this last year from Fils Anges with Jallota back in fifth. The runner-up is no better off and Brendan Powell's charge was only caught in the closing stages over a mile last month so can go one better over his best trip. Mastermind is an obvious threat having made a superb return to action in the Group 2 Al Fahidi Fort last month. He has little to spare over Kanaf, who beat him here last January though he's made much the greater progress of the pair. Ashaadd hails from a yard in form but will need to find another gear while Art Wave's form is on Dirt. Redbrook, a Listed winner in France, might just need this after a long break.
