RAKAAN was in fine form on fast ground in the UK last summer and made a very commendable return here at the end of last month. He made further progress to score over this C&D last week and while in this kind of mood will take some beating. Ashram, a decent enough performer in the UK, caught the eye on his reappearance behind Dandy Boy on turf here and may do even better on this surface as he's scored on Polytrack at Kempton. He's presumably thought more forward than stablemate Bank Merger, a lightly-raced but potentially high-class triple winner on dirt in the USA. The prolific Banna Boirche wasn't given a hard time over a trip too short on his opening run here earlier this month and is the type to do well on this surface but Frosty Secret has been below par so far and stablemate Solid Choice was last of 11 behind Warsaw on turf 15 days ago, though is much better on Tapeta.
