        Verdict

        The former Pat Shanahan-trained Carbon Dating made his debut here last month and will find racing in Dubai easier than chasing the likes of Golden Horn, Gleneagles and Jack Hobbs, as he did in the summer. He'll have come on for the run and must be considered along with Rich And Righteous, who had three starts for Andre Fabre before making a promising debut at Jebel Ali last month. Makzon showed the occasional glimpse of form for Sir Michael Stoute while Piepowder Court was staying on nicely over a bit shorter at Al Alain last month. STAMFORD cost Godolphin 200,000gns as a yearling but contributed virtually nothing. He had a couple of starts around a year ago for new connections and, if he's to begin living up to his pedigree, this looks as good a time as any. Fa'iz offers consistency at a low level but 38 starts without winning says it all.
