Verdict
BARBECUE EDDIE has been a favourite of ours for a long time and has continued to defy Father Time with four victories here since last March, including his best effort so far when beating Out Of Bounds and Fulbright in a Grade 2 last month. He had earlier beaten Jebel Ali specialist Treble Jig by over three lengths and should again take care of that one and complete a five-timer. Daddy Long Legs makes his debut for Mike De Kock but was in poor form when last seen in late summer while the former French-trained Moonwalk In Paris has an absence to overcome, though he has a good record on artificial surfaces. Capital Attraction had subsequent winner Elderly Paradise in the runners-up spot last month and though put in his place by Treble Jig and Haatheq later that was at Jebel Ali. Derbaas has an outside chance as he was in cracking form over this track and trip a year ago and wasn't suited by an extra furlong on Turf a fortnight ago.
