Reynaldothewizard won this last year when MUARRAB was a well-beaten fifth. He also won it the previous year and had his big day when landing the 2013 Golden Shaheen. But Satish Seemar's veteran couldn't handle his old rival in last season's Group 1 and, with a run under his belt and ridden for the first time by Jim Crowley, the latter can take this on the way to defending his Group 1 title. Michael Halford has always done well here and his USA import Wild Dude has been brought here with the big sprints in mind. A dual Group 1 winner on Dirt, he might just need his first run since September but should soon be challenging for top honours. The Happy Prince did well in Ireland for Aidan O'Brien and showed there were races to be won with him here with an excellent second to the classy Ertijaal over the minimum on Turf last week, though he'll be having his first start on this surface. Moviesta gave the latter 5lb and beat him just over a length at Dundalk in August so is no forlorn hope here while Desert Force has won two 7f handicaps in a canter, though faces much faster opposition.
