In depth

Verdict

Some of these have a bit to prove as regards their current marks as Tamaathul hasn't won since landing his maiden in 2009 and Happy Today was beaten out of sight in Group company earlier this year when with Brian Meehan. Teslin has had just two outings in the last three years but February's C&D winner Famous Warrior has claims along with Al Farahidi, who scored at Jebel Ali on his latest start in March. However, it could pay to stick with more recent form so Zain Shamardal is a leading contender despite dropping back in trip as he ran out a convincing winner over 1m2f here last month though CANWINN is preferred. He wasn't unduly troubled to land a handicap over track and trip last time when beating Graymalkin, who runs in the previous race, with Cairnsmore further behind and Dhruba Selvaratnam's charge can continue his good progress here.
