        Verdict

        TRIED AND TRUE is generally very consistent at this level and had no problems beating stable companion Grand Argentier over the track and trip last time though Pat Dobbs, who rode him that day, has swerved both here and gone for Street Of Dreams, who hasn't had much racing for his age and ran very well on his comeback last month when runner-up to New Trails after missing the break. Welford hadn't won since 2015 until scoring very easily over a mile a month ago, which certainly wasn't unexpected given the level of support. He's 9lb higher here but is still likely to give a good account. Litigation won at Southwell on his debut for James Tate in March and made a spectacular start to his new career here when making all and coming home unchallenged at the beginning of last month. Not surprisingly, he's ben hit with a 13lb rise but is only three so could have plenty more to offer. Aslan wins his share but hasn't raced since scoring here in January and is 8lb higher.
