In depth

Verdict

Roulston Scar, three times a winner for Kevin Ryan, made a sparkling debut for Simon Crisford last month, leading 2f out and battling on too strongly for runner-up Dream Today, who is only 1lb better off and is unlikely to reverse the form. Ayr Gold Cup winner Angel Alexander was only beaten a length in a Group 3 in France next time and looks certain to get into contention. Blitzkrieg, a Group 3 winner in the USA, should be approaching his peak after two fair efforts but EKHTIYAAR made such an impressive return to action here last month that he looks the one to be on. He's run against high-class opposition since scoring here last February and it will take a very good performance to beat him.
