Genius Step showed useful form for Godolphin in the UK and made his debut here a month ago. He showed up well, leading until the lack of a run told in the closing stages. That will have brought him on and he's at the right end of the handicap. Innocuous, who finished just in front of him, has since won a handicap over the track and trip so the form looks strong. Brazen was three lengths behind in that latter event but should get closer as he attempted to make all and only faded in the closing stages. RAFEEJ, twice a winner for Mark Johnston, could hardly have made a better start for his new trainer, coming home hard held at Sharjah last month. He's been raised a massive 16lb in this better race but looks progressive and can score again.
