        Verdict

        Several of these arrive in good form from stables going well including Doug Watson's Powderhouse, who made an impressive debut for the yard when coming with a late burst to catch Hucklebuck over 1m2f. The runner-up is 6lb better off but the winner has more scope and can confirm the places. Arch Gold also goes for the champion trainer but he ran poorly at Jebel Ali last time after a convincing victory there. Mears won a handicap at Al Ain by over nine lengths but has gone up 10lb for his troubles and was a long way behind HERALDIC (NAP) when Satish Seemar's charge won earlier. Richie Mullen made virtually all that day and though up 7lb his mount has won off the same mark here in the past. Stable companion Immortalised was beaten seven lengths but was never in the race with a chance until staying on late.
