        Verdict

        Capezzano won a Group 1 at the 2019 Carnival but was a long way behind Everfast when Doug Watson's charge won on this card a year ago. The latter then performed with credit at the highest level and takes a big drop in grade. Stable companion Golden Goal won a Group 2 here in January but the vote goes to MILITARY LAW, despite a long absence. He landed a similar race at this time in 2019 then finished runner-up in Grade 1 and Grade 2 company at the 2020 Carnival. He beat today's rival Thegreatcollection, who won this in 2020, in a Group 2 in January last year before a fair run behind Mishriff in the Saudi Cup. Atletico El Culano is a Group 1 winner in South America while Danyah, an Ascot handicap winner last year, has his first start on the surface. Watson's stable jockey Pat Dobbs has chosen Prince Eiji, who goes well fresh and was only a short-head behind Kafoo on his reappearance last December when the winner looked very smart.
