Castel Gandolfo finished more than three lengths ahead of Liverpool Knight when third last time at Perth and was a place ahead of stablemate Glorious Zoff when second here earlier. Fergal O’Brien’s grey, fourth in this last year, should run his race again and the stable won this in 2021. Stuart Edmunds saddled last year’s winner and his mare Addosh has been thereabouts in lesser company recently but ENTHUSED has done nothing but improve since getting off the mark at Huntingdon in the spring and can win again before the ground eases, even though closely matched with Simply Red and Glorious Zoff on Uttoxeter running. The latter holds Worcester winner Coolnaugh Haze on Newton Abbot running in July.
