In depth

Verdict

Jacks Last Hope was almost nine lengths ahead of THEATREBAR when second at Southwell and is only 2lb worse off. But Dan Skelton’s veteran should be approaching peak fitness now and may well turn the tables. Theclockisticking has proved frustrating to follow but it would be no surprise to see him in the firing-line while The Vollan was a good second at Uttoxeter. Ballyhome won here over fences recently and Mason Jar was keeping on when fifth at Southwell and Cillin Leonard takes off a handy 7lb.
