In the finale, the vote goes to Wensleydale Web ahead of Alternator and Camden George. Taking it from the top and Camden George showed plenty of promise on his bumper debut and, with his stable in form, has to be considered here. A half-brother to Accordello and from the Jonjo O'Neill yard, Alternator has also to be seriously considered, and Noble Dream's debut run was promising and he too gets a solid mention in the context of this contest. Quorn Master gets the 'looks interesting on pedigree' tag, while Lucinda Lamb showed promise on her course and distance debut and is entitled to some thought. Finally, Wensleydale Web was put in her place at Aintree but had earlier show plenty of promise on her debut run at Catterick. Back at this level, she has to be respected, so much so that we will give her the nod today, although keep an eye on the betting for this race.
