Overstrand has to concede weight all round but can get the better of his main rival Direct Flight in the opening event on the card. Overstrand is not as ring rusty as his 190 day absence indicates as Mary Reveley's charge has been in action on the Flat since landing a maiden hurdle at Perth in May. In need of the outing at Ayr in October, the former Amanda Perrett inmate improved to chase home Escayola at Musselburgh a fortnight ago, and despite the ground being a bit faster than he would like here, Overstrand should prove hard to beat. Direct Flight, a half-brother to a winning hurdler, scored comfortably on his Fakenham bumper debut recently but does not have the same experience. Of the rest, Vicentio makes most appeal, although he may prefer a longer trip in time. Any moves for Tojoneski, an all-weather winner at Wolverhampton, should be noted as he comes from a shrewd yard, but Overstrand, under Ollie Nelmes, should get favourite backers off to a flyer.
