In depth

Verdict

Delaware Trail, Ad Murum and Killard Point are the three to catch the eye here, with Delaware Trail the selection. Killard Point ran well to be third in a hurdle last time and that was an improved effort. he does have experience of the bigger obstacles and can go well at a price. Ad Murum had shown little recent form before being awarded the race last time, with his previous win coming in August last year. He appears inconsistent and the merit of his recent success is questionable. Delaware Trail won in impressive fashion at Sedgefield last time, taking advantage of a significantly lower mark than he has over hurdles. That was his first win, and the handicapper has reacted, raising him thirteen pounds, but he can go in again. Delaware Trail can leave the others in his wake.
