Brook No Argument is selected ahead of Tap End and Masra. The mare has two irritating seconds on her card but this has been due to finding one too good rather than through any lack of resolution. With those performances obtaining on heavy ground, there is every chance she might just prefer today's prevailing conditions. Tap End is closely related to cup performer, Give The Slip. Unfancied in the betting on debut, he travelled well for a long way and was not given a rough time of it when beaten. Masra is sure to have supporters given the Alan Swinbank and Tony Dobbin partnership. The son of Silver Patriarch is watched in the market. Pazmo is another to watch in the betting given Mal Jefferson's previous record in bumpers. Bennynthejets was probably flattered with his third in a bumper at the course in February. Strong Coffee is related to winners over much further and may find this trip on the sharp side. Brook No Argument does the benefit of racecourse experience and it may be enough to get her through in the finale.
