CALZAGHE won easily last time out and with one of the more experienced jockeys in the race onboard he is preferred to Cumbrian Knight, Blinded Bythelight and Three Boars. The selection was heavily eased last time out at the track on his first start for six months. He hasn't been with the yard for too long but they appear to have gleaned some improvement and this son of Galileo has the scope to make mincemeat of his 7lb penalty this afternoon. Gemma Gracey-Davison has eight wins to her name and she also has experience of this (admittedly straight-forward) track which is a plus. Cumbrian Knight ran well behind Etoile D'Or last time out and he evidently gets on well with his regular pilot who retains the ride. Also to be considered is Three Boars who has had a poor 2009 however as a result he is starting to edge down the weights and cannot be overlooked with Gina Andrews taking over in the saddle. Royaltea ran ok in selling grade last time out, Ardesia is tumbling down the weights but for good reason, whilst Blinded Bythelight was unlucky to bump into a progressive rival when last seen and the form looks solid. Not a strong race to finish with however this looks a good opportunity for Calzaghe to land another knockout blow.
