In depth

Verdict

Fox Norton won in a canter at Huntingdon in May and should be winning again soon but has to give 14lb here to a couple of smart four-year-olds making their chasing bows. GOLDEN DOYEN won a Grade 2 at Cheltenham last November and, though losing his way a little after, had a spin on the Flat last month to blow away any cobwebs. He could be worth following in the next few weeks. After winning at Plumpton and Sandown, Pain Au Chocolat ran in Grade 1 contests at Cheltenham and Punchestown and will be expected to pay his way again this term. Zaidiyn and Raktiman aren't without hope but Lucky Bridle got no further than the first at Carlisle on Thursday.
