Sea Cove may not have handled the testing conditions at Catterick last time and may be worth another chance in a similarly weak contest so gets the vote ahead of Southern Bazaar and Shady Merlin. The last mentioned disappointed at Sedgefield last time but that was over fences and he tends to do better over hurdles so has to be considered. Karyon would have claims on the form shown at Catterick in January but disappointed back at the same venue last month so may be best watched, while Leighton Buzzard remains a maiden under National Hunt rules and is hard to recommend. Maraud is on a long losing sequence and may still be a shade high in the weights, while Errol has slipped back to a winning mark and has claims on ground that suits. Southern Bazaar is a capable performer in this grade but may be a shade high in the weights now and preference is for Sea Cove, who should appreciate the return to better ground today.
