Eight take to the turf here and although recent good form is in short supply it should still be a rather competitive race where we put SPRINGFIELD RAKI forward to score at the main expense of Pokanoket and Mr Robert. The selection showed great attitude when winning here just two starts ago and although he failed to follow up on that promise in a similar race last time out, he does look competent enough to do even better. This step up in trip may suit and he looks capable of winning more races. Malcolm Jefferson's Pokanoket is in great heart and proved this when victorious here last time out. She will be high on confidence, but she could be vulnerable under a penalty. Mr Robert is from the inform yard of Evan Williams but he has been off the boil recently. He should have a simpler task here after a difficult couple of races but a place among the minors looks imminent. Louis Ludwig posted a more encouraging effort when finishing fourth just behind the selection last time out. He's run his best two races at this venue but another finish behind the principles looks likely. This should be a competitive race and we will side with Springfield Raki.
