Verdict
Both Fawsley Spirit and Schalke have won over slightly shorter over timber here and have also scored over the trip. The former has a very long absence to overcome but the latter completed a double when scoring here in the spring. Winning point-to-pointer Harry Du Berlais produced a much-improved effort when tackling fences for the first time at Bangor in April. Planned Paradise was in good form in mid-summer and might just have needed last month's run at Newton Abbot but winning point-to-pointer OCEAN DRIFTER is taken to defy a long absence on his chasing debut as he looked a smart prospect when completing a double over hurdles two years ago. Margaret's Legacy had some useful form in France and is likely to do better than on his debut for new connections at Chepstow.
