Verdict

It's difficult to make a case for either The Black Lion or Peak Seasons here racing from out of the handicap while Oranger didn't beat much at Ludlow and is 6lb higher, though his amateur rider claims 7lb. It's a long time since Pamak D'airy was in the winner's enclosure but he's started to knock on the door again lately and makes more appeal than Topaze Collonges, who appears to have lost his way. ROC DE GUYE has been waiting for better ground and, with Timmy Murphy back on board for the first time since he won at Stratford in October, James Evans' eight-year-old can resume winning ways.
