Souriceau looks worth taking on in this novices' hurdle and we will do so with Bulwark who is preferred to Pop. The selection ran with plenty of promise on his first try over hurdles at Warwick last time. This drop in trip should suit and he looks the value call. Souriceau was a little disappointing last time and although he could be hard to peg back if he is given an easy lead, he could be one to swerve at the forecast odds. Pop is another who shaped with promise last time but he just gave the impression that he would be better suited by a longer trip and for that reason he is narrowly passed over. Howard Johnson's runners have shown a bit more sparkle in the last few days so Prince Car could be another one to consider. This is a tricky contest and Bulwark could just be up to landing it.
