Nonrunner

In depth

Verdict

Another very competitive hurdles event and Muhtenbar gets a narrow vote, ahead of County Classic and Little Saltee. Henrietta Knight's gelding showed his liking for this track when beating Honest Endeavour over a slightly shorter trip. He was just beaten by a Paul Nichols runner last time, but it was a fair effort as he was giving away a stone. If he stays today's extra couple of furlongs he will be hard to beat. County Classic is a consistent sort who has had the misfortune to come up a against the improving La Perrotine on his last two outings, he is sure to run his race again and should reach the frame. Little Saltee is hard to assess, but he did win a Taunton bumper easily and hails from a very capable yard. Rubberdubber may prove best of the remainder, but Muhtenbar can make his course experience tell and is taken to oblige.
