Verdict

Just five go to post for this handicap chase and it is difficult to discount any, however Iron Express won well last time and is chosen to beat Runaway Bishop and The Merry Mason. Iron Express needed every yard of the three miles two furlongs at Southwell last time, having previously been successful over four miles. Today's trip will be much more to his liking and a follow up looks on the cards. Runaway Bishop ran no sort of race on his last outing in May, but had previously landed a handicap. The break will have done him the world of good and he could pose big problems for our selection. The Merry Mason comes here in good heart following two victories from three runs this season and should also figure in the finish. Hurlers Cross and Atomic Breeze make up the line up here and both can be given a squeak on their best form, but Iron Express has everything in his favour today and given the nod.
